About

Galen is an artist from Westchester, New York, currently based in Dallas, Texas.

Working predominantly in painting, drawing, and collage, Galen’s practice delves into the struggles of memory loss, nostalgia, cultural identity, and memorializing the fleeting.

These works balance the ephemeral nature of memory and the tangible record of photographs. She is completing a B.F.A. in Fine Arts and a B.A. in Art History at SMU, in Dallas.

She has exhibited both nationally and internationally in New York, Texas, Ireland, and France.

Galen is presently interning at the Nasher Sculpture Center in the External Affairs department.
